What is FIGID Press?
Welcome to FIGID Press, a company created to self-publish books and also help others to realize their creative goals. FIGID stands for Finally I Got It Done, which describes my feelings exactly after I published my first children's book, No Sweets For Santa. Since putting out that book, I've had the opportunity to work on more books and also help people to do the same.
In the past few years FIGID Press has grown into a sponsor of The INDYpendent Show, a convention that promotes the education and growth of creators in the Indianapolis area. I've also branched into the creation of specialty comic books for organizations and events in the area. You can see examples from Who's Yer Con, Broad Ripple Zombie Walk, The Boy Scouts, and more on my "Comics for Organizations" page. Finally, I'm pleased to announce my new creativity presentations for elementary schools. The goal is to encourage children in grades 3 - 5 to become more creative with characters and writing, and I'll be visiting schools in the Indianapolis area in Fall 2016.
