Meet Gina - International Artist
Gina currently lives on the East Coast with her husband and pets While illustration is not currently her full time job, Gina has produced work for many companies worldwide over the past ten years.
Gina received her Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in 1996 and has been working on and off with graphic design and illustration ever since. Born in Seoul Korea, Gina first decided to become an illustrator in elementary school when a teacher asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up. As the youngest of six in her family, she appreciates the work and influence of an older sister who works as a full time illustrator and helped Gina understand that hard work can pay off. Most recently, Gina has worked as a project manager and curator with such large organizations as The 2008 Seoul International Book Arts Fair and The 2009 Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany. Gina's travels around the world have given her a unique insight into the diverse art styles of different cultures and she tries to incorporate that into her current pieces. While Gina has tried many things in life, she finds herself consistently drawn back to the world of illustration. Gina dedicates her current work to her father, family, and friends who support her and express their pride for who she is and where she ventures. And finally, to John Graham, who showed belief in her work while she returned to the role of illustrator after arriving in Pennsylvania. |
