WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Agreeing to submit a story means you understand the following:

• FIGID Press will have the exclusive publishing rights to your story through December 31st, 2023.
• After December 31st, 2023, you agree to credit John Graham with the original concept and cite the anthology book when publishing or sharing your story in the future.
• You will be willing to help promote the book in some way.

​Submission Details:

• Stories should be 1000 to 10000 words written in Microsoft Word and saved as standard file. 
• Outline for story must be submitted and approved to ensure it fits in overall scope of project.
• You are responsible for all editing and beta reading of your story. Submission should be the final version of your story. (Only minor copy editing will be performed by FIGID Press).

• Demographic for the book is age 14 and up. 
• If any revisions need to occur in your story before publication, you will be notified first.

What FIGID Press will provide to you for your story:

• A customized author biography section about you in the book itself.
• One copy of the book for your portfolio plus one additional book for every 1000 words written. (offer based on Domestic shipping in America. If you are in another country, we can still talk through options that work best for both of us).
• Additional copies of the book will be available to you at 50% off the cover price for the extent of the ongoing print run. (You will need to pay shipping and handling costs.)
• Credit to you for your work in the book itself, and also promotional material when possible.

Since as early as 1950, detailed data started to be collected on people around the world by their prospective governments and businesses. Over the past 200 years since then, people have left their digital fingerprint on the world more thoroughly than ever before and nearly everything has been accumulated into our electronic data banks.
 
Don’t worry though, we are excellent stewards of you and your family’s priceless digital archives, thanks to our comprehensive code of ethics and some oversight by government agencies. We want to make sure that you feel comfortable using our locations without worrying that other people might be looking over your shoulder.
 
Our services are designed for you to gain a deeper awareness of your family origins, because knowing where you come from can help you figure out where you’re going.
 
Here’s how it works:
Visit one of our comfortable self-service locations and bring your proper identification and DNA sample. Once your family lineage is verified, you can select the ancestor you’d like to learn about and then pick the ancestry package you’d like to pay for. Please keep in mind that only those ancestors that have been deceased for at least twenty years are available for selection due to the international privacy accord of 2125. Also, there may be rare occurrences when your ancestor’s data is unavailable due to a blackout block. If you experience this, then please fill out the inquiry form and one of our staff members will contact you with more information.
 
Once you’ve selected your ancestor, chose from a variety of data origins and timeframes that are conveniently organized and downloaded on our certified data chip for your personal use only. We can provide you with as much data as you wish, but keep in mind that much of it will be unsorted beyond basic timestamps and origin locations. Some of your options include:
 

• Residential data including addresses, house plans, remodeling permits, 3D home walk throughs, and more.
• Social media data package gives you access to all their social media accounts for a specific time. This package can also include their intuitive avatar overview files created by social media companies over the years.
• Purchasing history including everything bought via personal accounts for any timeframe you wish.
• Travel history for a certain time period, allowing you to follow along with your ancestor step-by-step through detailed itineraries, pictures, weather forecasts, and immersive recreations.
• Audio / Visual history allowing you to see what was watched, read, and listened to during specific time periods of your ancestor’s life.
• Internet and search history, which will allow you to gain a better understanding of their day-to-day mindset.
• Extended data packages may even give you access to your ancestor’s computer files that were saved at specific times during their lifetime.

 
If you find yourself with a very specific need or limited time to sort through data, then select the option for deluxe packages to access representatives that will do the digging for you. Pricing varies greatly with these packages, so they might not be for everyone.
